PURPOSE OF ORGANIZATION

            The purposes of the Association are: professional, benevolent, educational, charitable, civic, patriotic, and fraternal. Specifically, the purposes of the Association are:

(a)   To improve and enhance professionalism of the Department and individuals;

(b)   To preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members;

(c)    To improve the wages, hours of work, job security, working and living conditions of its members and its members’ families and others;

(d)   To promote the health, security, economic, cultural, legislative, educational, social, political, and recreational interests of its members and its members’ families and others;

(e)   To defend and extend democratic institutions, procedures, civil rights and liberties of its members and all others; and

(f)   To maintain true allegiance and faith in the laws of the State of Texas and the constitution of the United States of America.
